MB ChB, FRCP, FRACP

Malcolm is a gastroenterologist trained in the UK and currently working in the Waitaha Canterbury endoscopy unit.

He is the national clinical lead for the NEQIP team and has been in this role for many years.

In both his roles concern for dignity and good, safe, and satisfying outcomes for patients are key, and he strives to achieve equity in all aspects of his work.

Works as the Clinical Nurse Specialist /  Nurse Coordinator for the National Bowel Screening Programme Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay

Gastroenterology Unit. Worked in Endoscopy Speciality since 2014 and helped implement the National Bowel Screening Programme in Hawke’s Bay in 2018.

Still working on the floor and is passionate about helping patients through their endoscopy journey, especially regarding preventing and/or early diagnosis of bowel cancer.

Carolyn is based in the north of England, working in GI research nursing and as a capsule endoscopist.

She has been working in the NEQIP team since 2018 as the nurse lead and since her return to the UK has transitioned to a nurse consultant role.

Janette comes from a background in senior administration, working with the Canterbury Health Pathways teams and Te Papa Hauora.

Janette is the NEQIP coordinator and joined the team in 2021, she keeps this small team organised.
